Editorial policy
How content is produced
Content on Contempt in Relationships is AI-assisted and human-edited. Drafts are produced with the help of AI tools, then reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by our editorial team before publication.
Sourcing
This site publishes no statistics. The figures that circulate in writing about contempt could not be traced to a primary source saying what the retelling claims, so none of them appear here — and a number that cannot be traced does not get published, whatever it would add. Where a page leans on research instead, the work is named in the sentence and linked to the original, never to an article about it. Every work cited is listed on our sources page.
Scope
We describe a communication pattern. We do not assess anyone's relationship, diagnose anyone, or tell you whether to stay or leave — research describes patterns across groups of people and cannot measure one couple, including yours.
Corrections
Found an error? Email hello@contemptinrelationships.com. We correct factual errors within a week, note the correction on the affected page, and update the page's modified date honestly — it only changes when the content substantively changes.
Ownership & funding
Contempt in Relationships is an independent publication. This site is funded by our own products and services promoted to our email list. We do not run paid rankings.
AI transparency
We label AI-generated illustrations, allow AI crawlers to read this site (see robots.txt and llms.txt), and welcome citation of our work with attribution and a link.
